Hosting Your WebsiteOnce designed and built, your website needs to be hosted to make it available to internet users around the world. By not being tied to any particular web host, HB-WebDesign are able to give unbiased advice on many of the countless hosting services available. We of course have our favourite providers and hosts we have already worked with and found to offer reliable, value for money services, but we're able to work with any host of your choice. By understanding the aims of your website, likely visitor numbers and future requirements, we can select and recommend the ideal package to best suit your needs. Web Hosting CostsThe cost of web hosting varies depending on the needs and size of your website. We will always explain your likely requirements and find you the best package for the best possible price. As a rough guide, monthly hosting can cost as little as £1.75 per month, (£27 a year) and offer more than enough disk space for a website with numerous pages and images and enough bandwidth for several thousand visitors per month. Paying a little extra will provide unlimited disk space and bandwidth plus facilities for databases, forums, chatrooms, mailing lists, etc. One drawback we have found with some hosts is that their email facilities do not offer the same functions and ease of use of popular email providers, (Yahoo, Hotmail, Google, etc.). To provide a better service to our customers, HB-WebDesign use and recommend GoogleMail to handle domain email. This is a free service provided by Google, but requires setting up with both Google and your web host. This service offers a simple to use admin area to add accounts, (up to 100 free), auto-responders, use one account to send and receive from numerous addresses, and many more easy to use features.
